Every parent in this movie is either a scumbag or just an idiot. Yet, they feel the need to be hard and play gangster because mommy and daddy never bothered to sit down and teach them anything. Spoiled brats who grew up in big houses with a bunch of video games and brand new cars to show off to the whole block. Growing up in the suburbs myself, I knew of several kids who were just like that. His face, mannerisms, body language are so dead on. Especially Emile Hirshe as Johnny Truelove. It’s almost scary how the actors nail the wannabe white kid gangster vibe. You see the kids in this movie dealing, beating each other up, calling their parents dicks, all against the backdrop of a scenic suburbia in big mansions. I just like how this movie is a documentary on White trash in America in the 2000’s, not the WT with the mullets and the pickup trucks waving the Confederate Flag, no more like WT with money.
